Do I need Tickets for the Rio Carnival?

It depends on the event you are attending. To attend the Samba School Parades, a ticket must be purchased in advance. However, if you wish to participate in the famous street parties (blocos), you can join them for free.

Tip: You must buy your Carnival tickets in advance, as these sell out quickly and are purchased months in advance.
